Terms of Service
Last updated: April 9, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using Ante Tu (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Ante Tu is — and isn’t
Ante Tu is a tool for organizing personal and family information you may want to have on hand during a health or end-of-life event. It is a planning aid, not a substitute for professional advice.
Important. Ante Tu does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, or estate-planning advice. Nothing you do in the app constitutes a will, an advance directive, a power of attorney, a trust, or any other legally binding document. For decisions with legal weight, consult a qualified attorney, financial advisor, or medical professional. We are a place to gather information and prompt conversations, not to execute legal instruments.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us immediately.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account up to date. One person, one account.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Some features require a paid subscription. Pricing is displayed before checkout. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (currently annual) and renew automatically until you cancel.
You can cancel any time from the billing portal in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then. We do not currently offer pro-rated refunds for unused time, but if you have a billing problem, contact us and we’ll work it out.
Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe’s terms.
5. Your content
You own everything you put into Ante Tu: the loved ones you add, the answers you record, the files you upload. We claim no ownership over your content. We hold a limited license to store, transmit, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service to you and to anyone you’ve invited as a trusted contact.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you put in, and for whether you have the right to put it in. Don’t upload files that aren’t yours to share. Don’t record sensitive information about people who haven’t agreed to it being recorded.
6. Trusted contacts
If you invite someone as a trusted contact, you are granting them read-only access to all of your plan content, including any files you’ve uploaded. You can revoke that access at any time. By inviting someone, you confirm that they have agreed to receive the invitation and that you have the right to share the content with them.
Trusted contacts cannot edit, delete, or upload to your plan, and they cannot invite further contacts of their own through your account.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal.
- Upload malicious files, malware, or viruses.
- Attempt to access another user’s account or data without authorization.
- Interfere with the Service’s operation, attempt to reverse-engineer it, or scrape it.
- Impersonate anyone, or upload content that violates anyone’s privacy or rights.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercialize the Service without our written consent.
Violating any of these may result in suspension or termination of your account.
8. Service availability
We work hard to keep Ante Tu available, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. We may take the Service down for maintenance, upgrades, or unexpected outages. We’ll do our best to give notice when we can.
We also reserve the right to modify or discontinue features. If we shut down a feature you depend on, we’ll give reasonable notice and an export path for your data.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if we’re required to by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would create a security or legal risk. We’ll give notice when feasible.
On termination, your access ends. We’ll retain or delete your data per our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that the information you store will never be lost. Make your own backups of anything irreplaceable.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ante Tu and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data or profits arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ante Tu and its operators from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
14. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, send notice to your account email. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
15. Contact
